Rest of the World is set for a Nov. 19 Release

Sony have finally confirmed the release date and pricing for the PS5. Officially revealed as part of today's Playstation 5 Showcase, the PS5 is set for a November 12 release date in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea and a November 19 release for the rest of the world. The physical edition with a disc drive will retail at $499.99/£449.99 and the digital edition will come in at $399.99/£359.99.

Sony's PS5 will be going toe-to-toe with the Xbox Series X in the 2020 holiday market with Microsoft already confirming their pricing and release plans earlier this month.e It will be interesting to see how consumers will choose between the two consoles with today's reveal by Sony.
